Global Handwashing Day

Handwashing Day was celebrated world over on
October 15th 2008
. Hisaar Foundation organized an event at the Civic Center
Auditorium. It was supported by the City District Government,
Karachi
and Unilever Pakistan Ltd. The Information Technology Minister, Mr
Raza Haroon was chief guest and over 150 people including students
and teachers from several government schools in Gulshan-e-Iqbal
town, attended the seminar. The students had prepared short skits
and speeches highlighting the importance of handwashing
with soap.
